The Fascinating Past of the Heart of Versilia

Nestled in the silence of a centuries-old park and surrounded by the area’s most prestigious villas, Le Cinéma is located in Le Focette in Marina di Pietrasanta.
This location became famous in the 1950s with the opening of La Bussola, the legendary live music venue known worldwide.
Le Focette is situated in central Versilia, halfway between Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, with a
superb view of the Apuan Alps when facing away from the sea.

An Iconic Place

Le Cinéma takes its name from its history as the open-air cinema of Marina di Pietrasanta.
Several scenes from the cult movie Sapore di Mare (1983) were shot here, reviving memories of the golden years of chic Versilia in the 1960s.
In the early 2000s, the cinema was discarded and redesigned by the architect Lera.
Lera created a light green iron pavilion providing the architecture with an elegant and airy feel, seamlessly blending the interior with the surrounding greenery.
A panoramic terrace is accessible via a double iron staircase, reminiscent of the iconic Capannina in Forte dei Marmi.
